Residential

Barańczaka St.

An apartment in Jeżyce inspired by the spirit of the district. In this project, the severity of the structural details is intertwined with the coziness and functionality of everyday life. The interior is distinguished by the use of wood, concrete and stainless steel. Authentic elements of reinforced concrete walls and structural beams have been preserved, according to the principle: if something cannot be hidden – it is worth accentuating.

The heart of the living area

The heart of the living area is a large wooden table with an unusual form accompanied by sculptural chairs. Its location was planned from the beginning. This is where the household eats, works, children indulge in artistic experiments, and their frolics can be heard during races around the table. A large mosaic was designed on the floor, smoothly reflected in the planes of the mirrors.

Family life background

The kitchen is no less important, because the place where the chef operates, it is the background for family life. The simplicity and timelessness of steel, functional sintered quartz countertops and a huge mirror are to blend in with the surroundings. The contrast is provided by a white sofa in soft boucle and fabrics in shades of muted green.

The great importance of family heirlooms.

A 4-meter stone shelf supported by wooden balls was created along the living area. Also noteworthy is the decorative shelf on bent stainless steel supports for displaying books and family mementos.

A space for spontaneous children's play.

The children’s room is an individual story. Here, a restrained base meets the needs of the youngest. Vivid colors in the form of upholstery details and decorative pillows, ergonomic solutions for years, curtains that allow you to separate space and create a cozy oasis during sleep, and in between, children’s spontaneous play and creativity.

BATHROOM IN A HOTEL ATMOSPHERE

Contrasts of solutions are also visible in the bathroom. Smooth universal surfaces of large-format wall coverings meet a suspended ceiling with rounded corners and a decorative curtain by the bathtub, giving a slightly hotel atmosphere. Here, too, there is a place for art, which accompanies us in each of the rooms. In the apartment, we will find paintings by the designer herself – Dagmara, her mother Dorota Ruta Zdanowicz, Dorota Wątkowska and Waldemar Pawlikowski.
